Searching the Collection

How do you find what the library owns?

The library catalogue can be searched online at http://www2.literacy.bc.ca/catalogue/.

For help searching the catalogue, or to ask Resource Centre staff to find information for you, simply email or phone for assistance. You may also come to the resource centre to browse the collection, but be sure to make an appointment or call in advance so that someone is here to assist you while visiting.

Literacy BC is included in Outlook Online, the provincial consortium of library catalogues.

Our resources are catalogued using the Library of Congress Subject Headings and Canadian Literacy Thesaurus.

How do you find the newest resources?

There is a regular listing of the New Resources added to our collection.

New materials are routinely publicized over the electronic conferencing network on the Hub and on our Web site. Look for our E-Bulletin and FYI: Current Literacy Information.

For more information on the Resource Centre call Literacy BC at 1-800-663-1293 or email us at library@literacy.bc.ca.
