The Tutors Toolbox
This small field guide presents 25 useful techniques in literacy and ESL tutoring. It is written as a refresher for persons who are trained as volunteer tutors.
The guide was written by Bill Graham of the College of New Caledonia in Burns Lake, and was funded by the B.C. literacy cost-shared program.
Some of the tutoring techniques described in the guide are: the language experience story; phonics; duet reading; cloze procedure; and spelling anchors.
