New centre to be an agent of change in post-secondary education

B.C. has a new Centre for Curriculum, Transfer and Technology (CCTT).

The CCTT represents a merger of the Centre for Curriculum and Professional Development and the Standing Committee on Educational Technology. The Executive Director is Gary Bauslaugh.

The new Centre is the result of a provincial strategic planning process for the college and institute system. CCTT's mandate is to be an agent for change in post-secondary education in B.C. In addition to curriculum and professional development activities, the CCTT will focus on three areas:

  • encouraging new approaches to curriculum, specifically the learning outcomes approach
  • ensuring learners are able to transfer efficiently and progress through the system to acquire a recognized credential
  • supporting the increased use of educational technology
