Call for Workshop Presenters-
Provincial Adult Literacy Forum

Showcase your literacy work at the
first major adult literacy 2000 in 1990.

The Provincial Adult Literacy Forum
will take place November 28-29, 1997

in Victoria and its partners. The forum is
sponsored by Project Literacy Victoria
and its partners.

In a recent survey, people indicated
they would like to learn about
successful literacy projects, learning
resources, public awareness of literacy
issues, partnerships with business,
coordianation among agencies, literacy
in the workplace, access to literacy programs,
and current research.

If you have an idea for a workshop you
would like to present at the forum, send

Pushing the Edges - Professional Development Event

The Adult Basic Education Association of
B.C. will offer a professional development
event in Kelowna, September 26 - 27, 1997.

Pushing the Edges will present four
to six workshop sessions designed for
a thorough presentation of ideas with time
for practice and discussion. Topics may
include:

Funding policy and its implications for
delivery of ABE programming Fetal
Alcohol Syndrome/Effect
  • A critical look at education and technology
  • Worker education.
