Children's Agenda Press Conference at UBC with Minister of Human
Resources Development Canada Jane Stewart. Pictured are Minister Stewart

More Highlights....
- September 8th Press Conference and launch of the
Family Literacy Public Awareness Campaign and the kick-off of the
Starbucks Coffee Company's All Books for Children (ABC) Book Drive at
the Vancouver Public Library, Central Branch. Many of our partners were on hand
to help us celebrate. We also launched the BC Framework of Statements and
Standards of Best Practices in Family Literacy
- September 13th Fundraising Presentation of "Beauty and
the Beast" hosted by Pacific Press, with partial proceeds going to
BC's family literacy field.
