Vocabulary Boosters (Level 1 ISBN: 0-8224-7280-5, Level

Power English: Basic Language Skills for Adults
The ten books in this series, written by Dorothy Rubin, are clear,
without being childish, and thorough, without being overwhelming. Each
of the eight instructional workbooks focuses on grammar and usage,
sentence structure, letter writing, punctuation and spelling, so there
are graduated levels of difficulty, immediate feedback and
overlearning. Each has a chapter review, a post-test, progress charts
and a perforated answer key. There is also a book of locator tests and
a book of review material. They are available through Prentice Hall
Ginn Canada, 539 Collier-MacMillan Drive, Cambridge, ON, N1R 5W9,
Phone: Toll Free 1-800-361-6128 Fax: 1-800-563-9196. Each book is
