"My Mummy Couldn't Read"
Carey Rigby-Wilcox has written and illustrated a beautiful children's book. Written from the perspective of Carey's son, My Mummy Couldn't Read describes his mother's lifelong struggle with reading and how she overcomes it. It would make a delightful addition to any family literacy program. Visit the Web site at www.seeabook.com/books.htm for details or email contact@seeabook.com

Ellen’s Story
For anyone interested in literacy, Ellen’s Story is an autobiography by British Columbia literacy advocate Ellen Szita. A chronicle of Ellen’s life and struggle with literacy, this moving book sheds light on the hidden epidemic of low literacy skills among adults everywhere. Ellen hopes her story will give courage and hope to others like her. You may purchase Ellen’s Story directly from the author (ellenszita@shaw.ca) or from Chapters, Coles and other affiliated bookstores.
